US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has blamed Russia for a massive internet attack on US government agencies.
Speaking on the radio program, Pompeo said Russia had been making several attempts to hijack the computer systems of the US Department of Homeland Security.
Security experts say the attack could allow hackers to access computer systems without limits as well as important government systems and other services.
The Department of Homeland Security has urged network users to be vigilant to prevent the hacking of military and other data.
President-elect Joe Biden has expressed concern over the kidnapping, with Republican Senator Mitt Romney blaming Russia for taking advantage of US silence.
