Social Radio is required to adhere to broadcasting ethics

Speaking recently in Dodoma, the Information Officer from the Information Department - NOTES, Jonas Kamaleki while opening a special training on marketing using digital systems designed for radio marketing managers of members of the Tanzania Community Radio Network (TADIO), said it was important for These radios use the same communication technology to provide information to the public in accordance with the rules of the profession.


"The digital system helps to convey the message and gain customers but also helps to ensure that information reaches the people in a timely manner, it is better to use this technological growth by disseminating information that stimulates development while announcing the implementation of ongoing government projects in various parts of the country," said Mr. . Kamaleki


In addition, Mr. Kamaleki warned social media journalists that despite technology helping to deliver messages on time, it has consequences that could be harmful if not used for the benefit of the country.


For his part, the Coordinator of the Media Network with Social Content in Tanzania (TADIO) Mr. Cosmas Lupoja said the aim of the training, funded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the country, is to enable community radio to advertise and expand the scope of markets to boost their income.


The training, which is funded by UNESCO which is a program to build the capacity of Radio Community to be independent, is being conducted for 5 days in Dodoma including 34 community radio under the umbrella of the network of community radio stations in Tanzania Mainland and Islands (TADIO).
