Germany plans to launch a corona virus vaccine on December 27

 


German Health Minister Jens Spahn has said Germany plans to launch a corona vaccination campaign on December 27, with all 27 European Union countries aiming to start the same day.

In a statement, Spahn said that when it is approved, the elderly who live in nursing homes will be the first to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The health minister made the announcement after holding a meeting with health officials from 16 German states.
