Kenya has ordered 24 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to The Star, quoting health ministry officials.
The Kenyan government will spend 10 billion shillings ($ 89m; £ 66m) to buy the vaccine, the newspaper reports.
The ministry submitted its request to the Global Immunization Program (Gavi) last week, according to the report.
This will reach 20 percent of the country's population.
The World Bank estimates that Kenya now has more than 52 million people.
It is not clear what vaccine was ordered by the East African country.
Midway through this year Gavi said each dose of Covid-19 would cost $ 3.
Those listed for immunizations are health workers, the elderly and those with other health challenges
Gavi has signed an agreement with nearly nine vaccine manufacturing companies.
