The Lions squad left today to follow FC Platinum

TODAY December 18 the Lions squad is expected to head to Zimbabwe for the African Champions League match against FC Platinum of Zimbabwe.

Three players are expected to remain on Bongo's ground as they continue to make programs that will be released by Head Coach, Sven Vandenbroeck.

The players include Charles Ilanfya who is Simba's number four striker, Larry Bwalya who has family problems and Thadde Lwagga who is a new addition to the squad.

The Lions will play in the African Champions League match, with the first leg scheduled for December 23 and the return leg on January 6 at Mkapa Stadium.

If they win the first game and are able to secure their victory in the replay game to be played by Bongo, the Lions could challenge the group stage.
